Looking up the stairwell

Give us a camera and a staircase and we just can't seem to help ourselves. Too much of a cliche to be taken seriously, there's still something rather intriguing about the repetitive patterns and shapes that form. Our apartment was on the second floor, so we had plenty of opportunity to enjoy this splendid old stairway.
