Now this may not look like much, but as soon as I saw it I recognised it from an illustration in a LadyBird book, possibly the Story of the Automobile (?). I remember in the illustration the steam car has veered into a ditch. I can't have seen that book in over forty years. Isn't it weird how something can suddenly come back to you? Obviously we had to include a picture of it here.
NB the excellent museum cafe is in the background, most unusual steamed dishes, all part of the technology theme of the place.
